We just spent the last 2 weeks celebrating Christmas and it was a joyous holiday season around the Wier house! This was such a fun year with the kids. They had a lot of questions about Santa, Jesus, and Joey (our Elf on the Shelf). I do believe there is confusion on where Santa and Jesus live and where Joey goes after Christmas. Having young kids around during the holidays opens your imagination and thought processes...that is for sure!
Madelyn and Cooper waited so patiently (well as patiently as a 5 and 3 year old can) for Christmas to arrive. There were so many different days with family and friends that they probably think that Christmas is half of the month! I honestly don't care at this point...it was worth it to see their faces light up each time we saw family members or friends walk in the door. And they got to give and get gifts on top of all of that. We are truly blessed with so much.
I wish I had more time to write about the entire experience of the Christmas season but I'm sure I would bore you with pages of information! We are getting ready to take Maddie girl skiing with some of our best friends and Coop-Coop is going to Grandma and Grandpa's house where he will get to ice cream every night before bed and stay up late (that is what he told me!) Hopefully next time I sign on I will have an update on Madelyn's first skiing experience and an update on how Grandma and Grandpa held up with a bossy, stubborn, delightful, tiring 3 year old!
