This time 3 years ago we were bringing Cooper home from the hospital...again! He had his pyloric stenosis surgery when he was 1 month old. I can't believe it has been 3 years! And we thought that particular surgery was going to "fix" him only to find out he was going to be a work of art.
Cooper spent the day with me. He had a doctor's appointment this morning where he wowed the PA who we saw. He could show her where to look in his ears, pulled up his shirt for her to take a listen, and stuck out his tongue on command. Easiest money she ever made ;-) On a serious note, she was extremely nice and seemed concerned for him, which is something we don't get very often. She seemed as though she wanted to figure out the "puzzle" that is Cooper's health. For today, its a sinus infection - a pretty bad one. She gave us one round of med's but wrote for 2 because she was pretty confident that 1 wouldn't do the trick. Especially since he is allergic to the "good" antibiotics that would wipe it out on the first try.
And 3 years later our 2 year old is now 5. She is just beautiful - inside and out. She does not like having her hair brushed though and has asked to cut it short like mommies. Hate to break it to her but unless it is buzzed off like most of the men in her family, then she is still going to deal with tangles, blow dryers, and ponytails! Its tough being a girl! That sweet girl is asleep in our bed right now because she doesn't like to be alone. Cooper got "evicted" from her room for naughty behavior which means she ends up ALONE which she does not like (I don't blame her - I am the same way). So I advocated and she was brought down to our room where she quickly drifted off to la-la land. Instead of getting Cooper a new twin bed, we should have just invested in a King for our room ;-)
