The newest member of our family - Lucy the Jack 'O Lantern. We let Madelyn pick the name and that is what she came up with. First we had Lucy the dog, then Lucy the baby (our friends baby), and now Lucy the Jack 'O Lantern. Popular name around the Wier house.
Let me tell you about these 2 clowns...
This weekend, we took the kids to their Paw Paw P and Maw Maw Nita's house for the weekend. I got to go shopping and spend time with Momo and then we all had dinner with Paw Paw, Maw Maw Nita, Momo, and my brothers and their families. Kevin and I headed off to College Station after dinner knowing they were in great hands.
Each time we called to check on them, things were going great (minus them getting up super early which is how they roll). Madelyn went to a cheerleading camp with her cousin Kaytie and Cooper went to a parade in Angelton with Paw Paw and Maw Maw. Then they got to go swimming because Paw Paw heated the pool for them (he is sweet like that!)
When we picked them up on Sunday morning though, that is when we learned that they stayed up until 12:30 the night before!!! Our kids! The ones who go to bed every evening between 7:30-8:00. They took advantage of the opportunity that was presented. BUT on Sunday, they had the "no sleep" mixed with too much candy corn hangover! Cooper slept the entire ride home from Houston to Dallas. Maddie slept part of the way and the rest of the time she sat in the back in what appeared to be a trance. Cooper slept another 12 hours last night and Madelyn slept about the same.
I'm so glad they had a great time in Houston with the family. I'm glad they got to stay up late as well...because it wasn't on my watch! I was in bed Saturday night well before they were! All in all, it was a successful weekend...one for the baby books!
